Front license plates suck. Some states require them, others don't. Unfortunately for me, I live in a state that requires them and I've seen some cars that have been totally ruined by their front plates. What car(s) do you think look bad with a front license plate on?

The Z is pretty bad, and remained bad for a long time. The license plate actually came off really easily due to the... obviously bad aerodynamic placement.

All of them. Even though front license plates are required in NV less then half the cars have one. Also +10 for cops not caring about window tint

Years ago, when I lived in MI, they did not require front plates. A friend bought a Dodge (Daytona?) and the dealer drilled holes in the front fascia to attach their own plate. He was livid. The dealership said he had to have it to get warranty service done. He was now triple livid. He made them take back the car and give him another. He was more pissed at being lied to as the plate.

I actually like the hanging license plate thing, ads to the vintage appeal! All the old divingboard bumper bimmers have 'em.

At the last Caffeine & Carburetors I went to, a 458 owner cut a hole in the middle of their front plate and mounted it directly on the raised prancing horse logo. I thought it was a clever (but probably illegal) workaround

It looks awkward on a Fisker Karma. Like a false, stick-on nose below an enormous mustache.

I love the front of the ST. Putting a plate on it is a crime. I am in a two plate state but I will be holding off putting it on until im pulled over. I have the plate and mounting bracket in my car so I can show it to the cop and say I was on my way home to do it lol.

Lots of Evos and Scoobies. Probably worst was the Evo VII:
Marginally better:
When I was a kid, for some reason there was one of these (or similar) round the corner in London. There's nowhere good for a front plate.
For me, though, the hands-down winner has to be the Alfa 147 - not least because I don't think they sold it anywhere you don't need a front plate, so every single one looked like that.

And turns it into this

The Mustang. Especially if you drive an imported one in Europe. I wish I could take my front plate off, euro plates look awful on it.

Just so you know, Michigan is considering a bill that would require front license plates. Michiganders, follow the link and contact your state legislators: http://www.semasan.com/page.asp?conte…

That's why my front plate is safely in a storage compartment at the rear of the car. Mind you I now don't exactly live in the state where the car is plated, so....

VWs. My '09 Jetta has that shiny front end thats just fuquing destroyed by a black rectangle.

US/Canada/Mexico sized plates look worse IMO. It would appear that at least with the Euro plates the lower grille opening airflow isn't restricted.

Always thought my Alfa's plate location was a typical Italian afterthought! (Not my pic, mine's black.)
